Aikido is a wonderful martial art for children. Aikido techniques are designed to be effective without being destructive.
Children practice in a friendly, co-ed atmosphere. Our Aiki Kids program incorporates games, tumbling exercises, as well as teaching techniques on how to defend themselves without hurting others and without using aggresive behavior.

Another important aspect of Aikido training is the art of ukemi (the art of falling or tumbling). We teach children how to roll and fall safely - an invaluable skill in their rough and tumble world. Check out the schedule page for class times.
